In this playful day-long workshop, we’ll tinkering activities with a culinary twist and reflect on the qualities of these experiences as learners. These fun hands-on investigations will serve as a starting point for identifying practical ways to adjust materials, environments and facilitation strategies to support a tinkering disposition.
Our explorations will focus on the STEAM content areas of electrical circuits,  computation, and mechanical movements as we program electronic paper designs and build a collaborative chain reaction. Through these experimental food-themed versions of the activities, we'll reflect on how tinkering can support collaboration, use of familiar materials in an unfamiliar way and an iterative process.
