HRRC Conference and AI Workshop Recap
As a follow up to the collaboration with the NEXUS experiments team creating playful and engaging AI experiments the team recently hosted a showcase at the HRRC (human rights research consortium) conference. This work brings together researchers and practitioners from Baden Württemberg and Connecticut to share ideas about how to introduce technology like AI to young learners in ways that build agency and engagement. It was really fun to see some of the conference participants try out the SCRATCH prototypes and make their own AI animations using everyday materials.
As well, for the conference we shared a video about the interaction with the high school students this spring at Pestalozzi Realschule and the Freiburg Stadtbibliothek. Hope that you enjoy seeing the group working with high/low tech tools, collaborating with each other and creating projects that they are personally interested in developing further. Looking forward to more collaborations with this team!
